1. Your choices
Better You provides product controls for much of the information you create and uses verified support for requests that do not yet have a self-service control. Depending on where you live, applicable law may give you rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, object to, or receive a portable copy of personal information.
These rights are not identical everywhere and may have lawful exceptions. Better You will assess a request under the law that applies to it and to you. This page is a practical guide and does not limit any right provided by law.
2. Access account information or request a copy
You can see much of your current account and product information directly in Better You, including your profile, Goals, Projects, Tasks, To-Dos, plans, reflections, Calendar connection state, notification settings, and visible learning preferences.
A complete self-service export tool is not currently available. To request access or a portable copy, email support@getbetteryou.live from the address associated with your account. Describe the information or date range you need so the request can be handled accurately.
3. Correct inaccurate information
Use the relevant edit control to correct profile details and product content. If information cannot be corrected in the product, email support@getbetteryou.live and identify the record and the correction requested without sending unnecessary private content.
4. Remove Tasks, Projects, To-Dos, and other content
Use available delete, cancel, archive, disconnect, or revoke controls for records you no longer want active. Some lifecycle actions intentionally preserve history so the product can explain what happened; deleting an item is different from completing, cancelling, or archiving it.
If the product does not offer the removal control you need, contact support. A request may be limited where retention is required for security, fraud prevention, legal obligations, dispute handling, or the rights of another person.
5. Revoke Google Calendar access
You can disconnect Google Calendar in Better You Settings and can also revoke Better You in your Google Account permissions. Disconnecting removes the stored Better You connection and attempts provider revocation.
Disconnecting does not automatically remove events that Better You previously created in Google Calendar. Those remain under your control in Google Calendar. See the Privacy Policy for the Calendar data Better You uses.
6. Control notifications
Notification settings and quiet hours can be changed in Better You. Browser or installed-app notification permission can also be revoked in the device or browser settings. Revoking a subscription stops Better You from using that subscription for future Web Push delivery.
7. Review or revoke learned preferences
When Better You presents a learning preference, you can confirm, defer, reject, replace, or revoke it using the available controls. Revoking a confirmed preference prevents it from continuing as an active personalization instruction; underlying product history is managed separately.
8. Delete an account
Self-service full account deletion is not yet available in the controlled beta. Email support@getbetteryou.live from the account email address to start a verified deletion request.
Before making the request, save anything you need to keep and disconnect third-party services if appropriate. Better You will explain any identity-verification step and any information that must lawfully be retained. Deletion cannot remove copies independently held by a connected provider, such as Calendar events in your Google account.
9. Make a privacy request
Email support@getbetteryou.live with a short description of the request. Useful details are the request type, the account email address, the relevant feature, and the approximate date range.
Do not send your password, one-time authentication code, OAuth token, API key, push-subscription key, full Calendar contents, or another person's information. Better You will ask for additional information only when it is reasonably needed.
10. Identity verification, authorised requests, and timing
To protect accounts, Better You may verify that the requester controls the relevant account or has valid authority to act for the account holder. Verification should be proportionate to the sensitivity of the request and should not require unnecessary information.
Requests are handled within the period required by applicable law. Better You does not promise one global response period because the rules and permitted extensions vary by jurisdiction. If a request cannot be fulfilled in full, Better You will explain the reason where the law requires it.
11. Questions and complaints
Start with support@getbetteryou.live so the concern can be investigated. Depending on your location, you may also complain to the data-protection or privacy regulator that has authority over the matter. South African users can contact the Information Regulator; UK and EEA users can contact the competent supervisory authority in their country.
