1. About Better You and the controlled beta
These Terms govern access to and use of Better You. Better You is a personal planning service currently operating as a controlled-beta product while its operating entity is being established in Delaware, United States. The final legal entity name and registration details will be added after formation.
Features may change, be incomplete, or occasionally be unavailable while the product is tested and improved. No uptime or service-level guarantee is offered for the controlled beta. Beta status does not remove rights that apply under law or excuse unsafe handling of personal information.
By creating an account or using Better You, you agree to these Terms and acknowledge the Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the service.
2. Eligibility and age
You must be legally able to enter into these Terms where you live. Better You is not intended as a child-directed service. The final minimum age for the controlled beta is still being completed as part of the operating and legal review. Do not create an account without any parent or guardian permission required by applicable law.
3. Accounts and account security
Provide accurate account information, keep your password and access codes confidential, and tell us promptly if you believe your account or email has been compromised. Do not share or use another person's account without permission. You remain responsible for activity through your account except where applicable law provides otherwise.
4. Permitted and prohibited use
Better You gives you a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable right to use the service for lawful personal planning while you comply with these Terms.
You must not use Better You unlawfully or abusively; access another person's account or data; probe, exploit, disrupt, or test the service without written permission; bypass rate limits or access controls; distribute malware or stolen credentials; impersonate another person; infringe rights; or use automation to create abusive volume or misuse AI, Calendar, push, or hosting providers.
5. Your content
You retain your rights in content you add and remain responsible for it. You confirm that you may submit the content and that it does not unlawfully expose another person's confidential or personal information.
You give Better You and its contracted providers limited permission to host, process, transmit, format, and display that content only as needed to provide, secure, support, and improve the service in line with the Privacy Policy. This permission ends when content is deleted, subject to technical backup cycles, integrity records, and legal requirements.
6. AI-assisted features
Better You uses AI for bounded features such as suggestions, plans, classifications, summaries, Project drafts, reflection interpretations, and insights. AI is not a human and its output may be incomplete, inaccurate, or unsuitable for your circumstances. Review an output before saving or relying on it.
Better You is not a substitute for legal, medical, mental-health, financial, tax, emergency, or other professional advice. You remain responsible for consequential decisions. AI does not have authority to enter contracts, contact people, or take important action on your behalf through Better You.
7. Planner, scheduling, and reminders
Plans, estimates, and reminders are organizational aids—not guarantees. Availability, priorities, time estimates, and notification delivery can be wrong or delayed. Device, browser, operating-system, network, quiet-hours, and provider settings can affect reminders.
Keep separate safeguards for emergencies, safety-critical events, regulated duties, payments, medication, travel, and other important deadlines.
8. Google Calendar and third-party services
You choose whether to connect an integration and which permissions to grant. Google Calendar is currently supported. Better You may use selected availability and create or update Better You-linked events when you enable those functions. Revoked permission, expired credentials, provider changes, or outages can interrupt a connection.
Better You also relies on independent providers for authentication, hosting, AI, push delivery, and support email. Each provider applies its own terms and controls. Additional integrations may be prepared but are not current public functionality until activated.
9. Product changes and availability
Better You may add, change, pause, or retire features for security, legal, technical, provider, or product reasons. Where practical, material changes that significantly affect existing users will be explained in the product or through another appropriate channel.
Maintenance, outages, bugs, or provider failures can occur. Keep an independent copy of information that is important or irreplaceable.
10. Better You ownership and feedback
The Better You name, visual identity, software, designs, documentation, and service content are protected by applicable intellectual-property law. These Terms do not transfer ownership of Better You or grant rights to its branding, source code, or confidential materials.
If you provide feedback, you allow Better You to use it without payment or an obligation to implement it. This does not transfer ownership of your private planning content.
11. Suspension, termination, and account deletion
Better You may restrict or suspend access where reasonably necessary to protect a user or the service, investigate misuse, comply with law, respond to a serious security issue, or address a material breach. Measures should be proportionate where circumstances allow. You may stop using the service at any time.
Self-service full account deletion is not yet available. You may request verified deletion through support@getbetteryou.live. The Data Rights guide explains the current process.
12. Reasonable service and liability limitations
To the extent permitted by applicable law, Better You is provided on an “as available” basis. We do not promise that the service, integrations, reminders, generated output, or recommendations will be uninterrupted, error-free, completely accurate, or suitable for every purpose.
To the extent permitted by law, Better You is not responsible for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive loss arising from reliance on a suggestion, missed notification, provider outage, interruption, or loss of access. Nothing excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded, including fraud or another protected matter.
13. Mandatory consumer rights
Nothing in these Terms limits rights that cannot lawfully be limited under applicable consumer, contract, or data-protection law. If a provision conflicts with a mandatory right, that right applies and the remainder of these Terms continues to the extent allowed.
14. Applicable law, disputes, and changes to these Terms
The final governing-law and dispute clauses will be completed after entity formation and qualified legal review. Until then, mandatory law and any court, regulator, or consumer remedy that applies to you continues to apply. No governing law or dispute forum is invented in this beta version.
Better You may update these Terms as the service develops. The current version shows its last-updated date, and material changes may receive an in-product notice or renewed acceptance where appropriate.
